The 99th launch & 100th mission for SpaceX Starlink 10 (11) was a huge success from launch complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Florida 10:31 AM EDT or 14:31 UTC August 18th 2020!

Mission and launch highlights are:

First stage booster B-1049.6 flew & landed for the 6th time a first for SpaceX. Five landings on the drone ship OCISLY and one landing on drone ship JRTI

Ms. Tee a SpaceX fairing catching ship in the Atlantic caught a Falcon 9 fairing half in its nets

All 58 Starlink Satellites were successfully deployed

All 3 PlanetLabs SkySat imaging satellites were also successfully deployed

From this point going forward all future flights in total will now be triple digits starting with a milestone 100 flights in just over 11 years from the Falcon 1 flight 5 on July 13, 2009 and 12 years from the very first successful Falcon 1 flight 4 on Sept. 28th 2008. The Falcon 1 flight 4 was the first privately developed liquid fuel launch vehicle to go into orbit around the Earth.

T.S. Eliot once said “Only those who risk going to far can possibly find out how far one can go”. Elon Musk and SpaceX with their belief in re-useability is pushing them forward to the moon and mars.
