A Banner Day For The Space Coast!

A day packed with a SpaceX Starlink 26 eight time flyer and the incomparable U.S. Navy – U.S. Marine Corp 75th anniversary Blue Angeles new F/A 18 E/F Super Hornets at the Melbourne Air Show.

SpaceX successfully launched 52 Starlink satellites and two ride share satellites a Capella Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and a Tyvak – 0130 into a higher orbit than a normal Starlink mission because of the two customer ride shares.

B-1058.8 has now flown and landed eight times and was responsible for the return of astronauts to the ISS on the May 30th 2020 DM-2 mission with NASA astronauts Bob Behnken & Doug Hurley. The booster made a pin point landing down range on the autonomous drone ship OCISLY.

This is the 15th SpaceX mission in 2021 and the third Falcon 9 launch in eleven days.

The Blue Angeles demonstration team at the Melbourne Air Show is comprised of both United States Navy and United States Marine Corp personnel with a storied 75 years of excellence.
