Get excited! We’ve set a new date for the launch of our Artemis I mission to the Moon.

We are now targeting Saturday, Sept. 3, at 2:17 p.m. EDT (18:17 UTC)—the beginning of a two-hour window—for the launch of our Space Launch System rocket and uncrewed Orion spacecraft.

The initial launch attempt was scrubbed Monday after teams encountered an issue getting one of the four RS-25 engines on the bottom of the rocket’s core stage to the proper temperature range for liftoff.

Tune in for our live coverage of the Artemis I launch, which will be aired in both English and Spanish:

• English-language coverage starts at 12:15 p.m. EDT (16:15 UTC) on NASA Television, the agency’s website, as well as YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitch, Daily Motion, Theta.TV, and the NASA app.

• Spanish-language coverage starts at 1 p.m. EDT (17:00 UTC) on our NASA en español YouTube channel.
