On a clear blue sky morning with light winds SpaceX launched Starlink 4-9 with a first stage booster for the 11th time into space and successfully landed back on a drone ship after deploying 47 more Starlink satellites into orbit with a southern launch trajectory from launch complex 39A at 9:25 AM EST or 14:25 UTC March 3rd 2022. The weather forecast for today’s launch was 90% favorable and it did not disappoint at all.

SpaceX now has three first stage Falcon 9 boosters with eleven flights and the booster used in today’s mission was B-1060.11 which also landed on the drone ship JRTI Just Read The Instructions down range near the Bahamas in the Atlantic. This also makes the 10th launch from Cape Canaveral since the beginning of the new year.

The goal of the Starlink internet constellation is to provide fast and reliable internet to all sections of the globe where communities are poorly serviced or have no internet at all. Just recently SpaceX was able to provide internet in some California towns which were destroyed in huge brush fires and now they are helping the country of Ukraine which is currently under siege.

Congratulations to the entire SpaceX team for another picture perfect launch, deployment and landing for Starlink 4-9 mission.
